Welcome to a world stripped of memory and ruled by constant surveillance, where brain-computer technologies shape truth. In this Restarted civilization, dreams are the last remnants of the past. They become a dangerous currency for those who struggle to survive.

The Censorship of Dreams is a mirror tilted just a few degrees into our near future, asking whether our thirst for optimization and security is quietly rewriting what love, consent, and responsibility look like. We are already experimenting with brain-computer interfaces and living in a culture that treats our data, emotions, and attention as extractable resources. In this play, we’re sitting on the other side of the mirror watching ordinary people trade away what makes them human. At its center is a relationship under pressure—two people negotiating survival in a system that asks for quiet compliance in exchange for stability. As language erodes and memories are erased, what remains are the most fragile forms of connection: touch, instinct, and the unspoken. This production invites us not just to witness that erosion, but to consider our own proximity to it—what we accept, what we ignore, and what we may already be in the process of forgetting in order to feel safe.
